Large and ribbed, the local tomatoes Togolese cooks call tomate du pays (local types such as Tounvi) are meaty, juicy and full of old-fashioned tomato flavour. In Canada they fill the beefsteak category: thick slices for burgers and sandwiches, salads and fine-grocery displays.
How we supply them:
- Fruits of about 180 g, picked ripe and firm.
- Three lot formats: basket (20 kg), crate (50 kg) and pallet (200 kg), packed in a single layer.
- Their softer flesh does not suit long sea journeys, so we ship them by air freight at 12–15 °C.
Every lot is traceable to the farm.
