Cucumbers love heat, and in the irrigated market gardens around Lomé they grow all year. Our partner growers pick them young, when the skin is dark and glossy, the flesh is firm and the seeds are still small, then sort them by length and colour.
How we supply them:
- Two types: standard, about 300 g, for retail shelves, and long, about 500 g, for kitchens and slicing lines.
- Three lot formats: basket (20 kg), crate (50 kg) and pallet (200 kg), in ventilated cartons.
- Kept at 10–12 °C with high humidity. Cucumbers stay fresh only 1 to 2 weeks, so we ship them by air freight.
- Packed and stored away from tomatoes and ripening fruit, whose ethylene makes cucumbers turn yellow.
Use them in salads, sandwiches, cold soups, fresh drinks and pickles. Every lot is traceable to the farm.
