Breadfruit trees grow in the gardens and farms of southern Togo, where each tree can carry dozens of large, round, green fruits. Picked mature but still firm, breadfruit has a dense, starchy flesh with a mild taste between potato and fresh bread. It is a staple of Caribbean cooking, roasted whole Jamaican-style, and is boiled, fried, mashed or turned into chips across West Africa.
How we supply it:
- Three sizes, about 2.5 kg, 3 kg and 3.5 kg per fruit, sorted and checked for bruises.
- Three lot formats: basket (20 kg), crate (50 kg) and pallet (200 kg), with padding to protect the skin.
- Breadfruit ripens fast once picked. It keeps only one to two weeks even at 12–15 °C, so we ship it by air freight to reach you firm and fresh.
Every lot is traceable to the farm.
The season runs from June to November. You can book volumes ahead.
