In Togo, “haricot” usually means cowpea, which we grow ourselves. Red kidney beans and white beans (Phaseolus vulgaris) are a different crop that needs cooler highlands, so the beans sold in West African markets come mainly from East Africa, especially Ethiopia and Tanzania. We source them from that supply chain and consolidate them in Lomé, so you can complete a container with our cowpea, soybean, groundnut and voandzou. We say so clearly, because origin matters to your customers.
Two varieties:
- Red kidney beans: deep red, kidney-shaped beans that hold their shape when cooked. For chili, rice and beans, stews and salads.
- White beans: small to medium white beans with a soft, creamy texture. For baked beans, soups, purees and canning.
How we supply them:
- Cleaned and sorted, 14 % moisture or less.
- Packed in new sacks of 25 kg or 50 kg, or by the pallet of 1 tonne (20 × 50 kg).
- Shelf-stable, shipped by sea freight in dry containers.
Each lot ships with its certificate of origin and phytosanitary certificate.
They can share a container with your other pulses.
