Let’s be clear: lentils do not grow in Togo. They need a cool, dry climate, and the world’s biggest exporter is in fact Canada, followed by countries such as Turkey and Australia. The lentils sold in West African markets are imported, and so are ours. We offer them as a convenience for buyers who want one consolidated container from Lomé, together with our cowpea, soybean, groundnut, voandzou and other pulses.
Two types:
- Red lentils (split): dehulled and split, they cook in 15 minutes into a smooth puree. For dals, soups and purees.
- Green lentils (whole): they keep their shape when cooked. For salads, stews and side dishes.
How we supply them:
- Cleaned and sorted, 13 % moisture or less.
- Packed in new sacks of 25 kg or 50 kg, or by the pallet of 1 tonne (20 × 50 kg).
- Shelf-stable, shipped by sea freight in dry containers, with the origin stated on every lot’s certificate of origin.
Lentils can share a container with your other pulses.
