Maize is the most widely grown cereal in Togo, with more than 1 million tonnes harvested in the 2023–2024 season, in every region of the country. It is the base of everyday West African foods: akassa, ogi and koko porridges, banku and kenkey, and the stiff maize porridge eaten with sauces.
Two types:
- White maize: the maize West African cooks prefer for traditional flours and fermented doughs. This is our main export line for African food makers and grocers in Canada.
- Yellow maize: for milling, roasting and feed blends.
Food safety: every lot is sun-dried, stored properly and tested for aflatoxins, with the certificate of analysis shipped with the lot.
How we supply it:
- Dried to 13 % moisture or less, cleaned and free of foreign matter and insects.
- Packed in new PP sacks of 25 kg or 50 kg, or by the pallet of 1 tonne (20 × 50 kg).
- Shipped by sea freight in dry containers.
- Togo sometimes regulates cereal exports to protect local food supply, so the export authorization is confirmed for each lot before we invoice.
Order by the sack or pallet online. For a full container, write to us.
