Guinea fowl (pintade) are raised across the savanna belt of West Africa, in Togo’s Savanes and Kara regions, in northern Benin and Ghana, and above all in Burkina Faso. The hens lay mostly during the rainy season, so the eggs are a seasonal product. They are smaller than hen eggs, with a cream to light-brown shell that is much thicker and harder. That shell protects them well in transport and gives them a longer keeping time. The yolk is large and firm, which bakers and cooks appreciate.
How we supply them:
- Eggs of about 38–45 g, ungraded.
- Packed on trays of 30 eggs, or by the carton of 10 trays (300 eggs).
- Collected from village and small commercial flocks, candled to remove cracked or fertilised eggs, then kept cool (10–15 °C) and delivered by refrigerated truck.
- Main season: June to October. Outside the season, volumes are very limited.
- Minimum order: 5 trays.
Where we deliver: this product is sold and delivered in West Africa only (WAEMU countries), priced in FCFA. It is sourced from poultry farmers in the delivery country and is not exported to Canada.
Order online during the season, or contact us to reserve volumes in advance.
